Context
Chances are you already segment and personalize the emails you send out to your subcribers. Imagine if you could continue that personalized experience on the website too. And not just the landing page, but their journey throughout the website. You could show them the right content, highlight relevant information, and more.
Key benefits
Marketing teams will often create landing pages to go with their email campaigns. But the moment a visitor goes to a different page on your website, their experience goes back to generic and they are yet another anonymous visitor. It doesn't have to be that way.
- You can use Unless Campaigns (with merge tags in Mailchimp) to assign a contact ID to each contact and provide them with a hyper-personalized experience throughout their journey with you. If you offer memberships or a customer loyalty card you can use that as the contact ID, ensuring that offline purchases are also reflected in the online experience.
- You are probably already segmenting your email campaigns based on persona, subscription plan, product interest category, and more. You can already pass on this segmentation to Unless using UTM parameters and that's a common way to do it. However, the benefit of using an integration is that the data will be synced continuously. This ensures that your data is always up to date and your contacts are getting the experience that is relevant to them right now, not two weeks ago.
How does it work?
With this integration you can sync data about your lists, subscribers, campaigns, interest categories, and more between Mailchimp and Unless. You can then create audiences and experiences within Unless for individual contacts as well as a variety of segments. You can also send visitor data such as attention span, lead score, and more from Unless back to Mailchimp.
Install instructions
Once at the Integrations tab of your Unless dashboard, you can select “Unlock” for the Mailchimp integration. This will open up a form, where you can provide us with details regarding how you would like to use this integration eg. which data points you would like to be passed and in which direction. We will then configure the integration according to your needs.
